How review sites check reviews
Each platform makes its own decisions. From their help pages:
Google says new reviews go through automated checks of the review text, the reviewer's account and unusual activity at the place. Flagged reviews go to trained staff. Owners can report a review, but only reviews that break Google's policies are removed.

Yelp
Yelp says its recommendation software is fully automated. Reviews it does not recommend stay visible in a separate section but do not count toward the star rating or review count.

BBB
BBB says it validates the reviewer's email or phone, lets the business confirm the interaction and respond before the review is published, and does not accept anonymous or paid reviews. BBB also says it cannot guarantee any single review is accurate.

Questions
Can you remove any review?
No. We only request removal of reviews that appear to break the platform's own policy. The platform makes the final decision, so we can't guarantee any removal.
Will anything be posted without me?
No. Nothing is sent or posted without your OK, and your situation is discussed privately.
Do you post fake reviews or filter who gets asked?
No. We use platform, publisher and search engine processes only. No fake reviews, no review gating.
Is the first call free?
Yes. The consultation is free.
How long does it take?
It depends on the platform and how many items are involved. Each platform reviews requests on its own timeline. We'll tell you what we know on the call.
